Established in October 2003 by Roger Brooks who has been in the steel industry since 1969, now owned and operated by Daniel Evans who himself has over 20 years experience in fabrication, South West Steels Limited have built a reputation with local builders, developers and private clients which is second to none. Serving the whole of the South West; including Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Hampshire. We now boast over 600 active accounts which have been achieved by giving the customer what they want.
South West Steels Ltd is an engineering company specialising in steel fabrication. We are a BSI registered firm operating quality assurance system. Meeting the requirements of ISO 9001, this ensures that quality standards are fully monitored throughout the design and manufacturing process.
Always looking to move forward and take on new challenges, SWS have achieved CE marking accreditation for structural steel and also the British Standard European nom, BS-EN 1090- and also we have SMAs Work Safe Accreditation.
We have a combined experience of over 25 years and in this time we have built up a very close relationship with the building trade in Somerset and the surrounding areas.
We are based just outside Yeovil in East Coker and we provide an excellent service of metal work and steel work to the domestic & construction industry. Our professional and friendly service has helped us build a large customer base in the South West.
Our managing director Dan Evans oversees all projects and is very hands’on. Our fabrication and site teams all share the same dedication and enthusiasm to provide the perfect solution to your requirements.
We have been a customer of South West Steels for around 15 years and have had a good working relationship with all the staff from directors to delivery drivers. The competition is tough in the Weymouth area, there are other steel suppliers, but SWS have managed to price competitively and deliver in full and on time. We needed 2 HEB H steel to complete our project as the beams we had were not sufficient to support a wide span floor. I called and placed the order on a Thursday and they arrived on the following Monday. The price was reasonable and we received excellent service from this company and Daniel on sales communicated with us all the way through letting us know when we could expect delivery. We have no hesitation recommending this company.
